What to Wear for a Holiday Gathering with your Spouse's Family
Greetings Loves!!!
So, today's post is all about how to look snazzy and appropriate at this season's Holiday gathering with the In-law's/your spouse's family.
Tip #1. Look approachable
Don't come off too stuffy and stiff.
Tip #2. Comfort
Fab but comfy shoes are also recommended. I don't know about y'all but I know when my feet hurt it alters my mood immediately. You don't want to be short and irritated with people because your feet are hurting. So be comfortable, so you can represent your best self when meeting/mingling with your spouse's family.
Tip #3. Add a statement/unique piece
One it adds a extra pop to your look and again is memorable and it is also a great conversation starter. If you're an introvert like me and have difficulty making small talk with people, a great eye catching piece is a great way to draw people to you and allow for organic/unforced conversation.
Tip #4 Keep it Modest
Tone it down and be modest. Nothing too revealing. So try to stay away from anything extremely tight, low cut tops, super short skirts, etc. There's a time and place for everything and this isn't the place. No one wants grandma giving you the side eye because all of your parts are on full display.
Tip #5. Smell Good
This should be a no-brainer but you'd be surprised at what a great impression you leave on someone when you smell lovely. It attracts people to you and sets the tone for pleasant engagement. So, this is the perfect time to pull out your favorite/special occasion perfume. (Don't over do it though). :-)
