Hey Lovelies!!!

Hope your week is going great! We have had a very frigid week here in the NJ/Philly area. However, I’m still not ready for Spring. So, before we even get into the deets and my little blurb about today’s look. I will address the Gucci tote I am wearing. So, since the racist blackface imagery that Gucci released in their collection not too long ago I have vowed to no longer buy from the brand. (If you’re unsure of what I am referring to..google it.) I used to LOVE gucci and it was one of my favorite brands but I can’t spend my money with a company that made an intentional decision (regardless of what they claim) to release a product that offends, degrades, and mocks the black community. They sent a very strong/overt message to our community regarding how they truly feel about us. Unfortunately, I have spent more money than I care to share on their products, prior to this debacle. For now, I will wear the pieces I already purchased from time to time. Eventually, I may decide to sell them. So, now that I got that disclaimer out the way…on to my look! :-)

So, I have really been digging shaggy pieces lately. They’re so fun, bold, and eye catching. Not to mention it adds texture and I love some texture. I added this piece to up the ante on an otherwise pretty basic look and I love the message on this graphic tee. It’s definitely a motto I try to live by, “Work Hard and Be Nice”. It costs you nothing to be nice to people and it definitely will come back around and working hard and smart is major key to progress and being successful at anything in life! So, two things I really try to do consistently.
