Trendy Thursday: Sporty Chic
Good Day Loves!!
Hoping everyone is having a blessed week, in spite of the foolery that's taking place in America right now. :-(
Anywho, today's trendy talk is all about the Sporty Chic trend. I was slow in embracing this trend as it's not 100% my style aesthetic Per se. Although, I absolutely love it. I adore how some women can pull off rocking midi skirts and pencil skirts with sneakers or a fab pantsuit with a t-shirt and sneakers. I have never been quite able to pull that look off. It looks too forced when I do it, because it truly isn't who I am. However, when I stumbled upon these sporty tuxedo stripe trousers I knew I had to find a way to incorporate them into my wardrobe. You might be wondering "well what makes those trousers so sporty?" I know they photograph as normal trousers, but the material is a sweatpants-like material but a tad bit dressier, if that makes sense.
Styling Alternatives:
I, of course dressed them up but they would look great with a long sweater or sweatshirt or paired with sneakers (if you're on the taller side because these pants are quite long). An exaggerated blouse would look great as well (ruffles, bell sleeves, pussy bow, etc.) I also can see me remixing them with a blazer for the office or a business meeting.
This fur looks way too real for my liking...so much that I think I might need to give this sucker away. While shooting this look I wanted to take that fur collar off so bad because all I kept seeing was a dead animal on my neck but my photographer convinced me otherwise. :-(
