Tips on Styling an Oversized Faux Fur Coat

Hey Dolls!

Listen, this Winter has been all about the fur fur fur! It is everywhere, especially the candy colored furs. Faux fur has been a staple in my wardrobe since I can remember and it's not going anywhere anytime soon. You guys have heard me talk about it so many times and the benefits it adds to any woman's wardrobe. As of lately,  I've been literally wearing my faux furs everyday. Anywho, let's get into today's look. So, this coat is soooo me for so many different reasons but mainly the poppin' colors and the awesome texture. I just love it.

So, furs can be tricky because depending on the style and cut of the garment it can add bulk to your silhouette/body. Typically, that is NEVER the goal for me. I like to look as slim as possible if I can help it. Although, this winter weight really won't let me be great...but I digress. This coat was love at first sight I was a bit hesitant to pull the trigger at first due to how oversized it is. I have broad shoulders and I am not the thinnest girl on the block, considering both of those things I knew this coat could possibly be problematic. Once I received it and sat with it for a couple of days, the oversized feel grew on me. However, the key is to stick to pairing this type of coat with slimmer fitting clothing, so that your shape is still visible and you're not lost in the coat...although who wouldn't want to be lost in this colorful furry goodness?!!

The Styling:

I went for more of a 70's feel by pairing it with my flared denim, super cute pink satin booties and a basic fitted tee. Simple and chic!
