Gingham Style

Greetings Lovelies!

Hoping you're all having an enjoyable weekend. In today's post we're talking all about one of this past spring, summer and soon to be fall's trending items, Gingham Print. It's being displayed everywhere in skirt, dress, top, and shoe form. It is definitely a classic print that I believe can stand the test of time depending upon the style of the garment. You can absolutely never go wrong with a gingham print classic button up blouse. It's great for the office, for running around town, etc. and can be styled various ways. I have several in my work wardrobe that I also transition into my everyday wear, as well.  (I will link prior posts below and also will style some corporate chic gingham in future posts for sure)

Well let's get into what I am wearing, this particular top I just love, it's a true statement piece. I was immediately drawn to the color combo (pink and orange) and also how flattering the garment is. This is literally one of those tops that's perfect for those days when you're not feeling or looking your best. The arms are covered, allowing a little shoulder and neckline exposure, giving off a flair of sexiness and the peplum hem helps to conceal any stomach protrusion issues.

The Styling:

I went with styling this piece more on the casual side and for the summer season this time around but it would look great paired with a pair of wide leg trousers or with a pencil skirt for a more fancier look or even a pair of distressed denim for transitioning into the fall.

So, let's chat about these white pants. I purchased them years ago when boot leg cut was still a thing and it still might be for some people but my taste has definitely changed and I am not a boot-leg cut person anymore. I love the way they fit but hated the flared bottom. So, instead of getting rid of them or having them tapered at the ends, I simply rolled up the pant leg to create more of a cropped feel. This is a quick and easy little style tip that I follow to get use out of some denim that no longer suits my style aestethic.
